About Clearlane
We publish clear information about common rental vehicle classes and approximate base rates so travellers can compare options more easily.
What this site is
Clearlane is an informational site about car hire. We describe typical vehicle categories, capacity, and base rate ranges drawn from common market levels. We are not a live booking engine and we do not process payments or issue rental contracts.
When you are ready to hire a vehicle, you book with a licensed rental company. They provide the final price, terms, insurance options, and the actual car (or a similar model in the same class).
What we emphasise
- Base rates labelled as approximate
- Clear separation of taxes, fees, and optional extras
- “Or similar” language for vehicle models
- Practical notes on licences, deposits, and fuel policy
Why transparency matters
Advertised daily rates often exclude taxes, concession fees at airports, and optional cover. We state that upfront so the starting number is not mistaken for the amount due at the counter.
No invented scarcity
We do not use countdown timers or false “only 2 left” claims. Availability is determined by the rental company at booking time.
No hidden “from” prices
Where we show a range, we describe what it covers (base rate) and what it does not (tax, fees, insurance).
Local confirmation
Age limits, licence rules, and deposit holds differ by country and operator. Always check the rental agreement for your pickup location.
